Stephen DeCesare

Stephen DeCesare is emerging as one of the most successful young American composers, whose compositions have been widely acclaimed by audiences and critics alike for their dramatic strength, passionate melodies and rich orchestrations. His works are receiving numerous performances and commissions all over the world in places such as the United States, Europe, Asia and the Philippines.

Stephen’s musical “A Christmas Carol: the musical” has been his most successful composition to date. By December 2006, Christmas Carol will have received 150 performances around the U.S. and abroad. His latest musical “The Picture Of Dorian Gray: the musical” will have its first staged pre-Broadway run in 2006.

In addition to his work for the theatre, Stephen is active in sacred and orchestral music. To date, Stephen has over 700 compositions in his compositional catalogue, which include such titles as his Requiem Mass, and Lest We Forget (a holocaust oratorio that pays tribute to the 11 million people who died in the Nazi Concentration camps).
