Dr. Esther Clark Olin is a long-term adjunct professor of piano and music composition at Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia. 

 

Dr. Olin earned a doctor of musical arts degree from LSU, Baton Rouge, a master of music degree from Indiana University School of Music, and a bachelor of music degree magna cum laude from Wheaton College Conservatory.  Her additional graduate work in composition included study with Professor Samuel Adler, Chairman of the Composition Department at the Eastman School of Music.

 

Her compositions have been performed throughout the south ~ in New Orleans, Atlanta, several Florida cities, in Chicago, and in the Chartres Cathedral in France. The Richmond Brass Ensemble, the Lynchburg Symphony, Rivermont Presbyterian Church ~ Organ Dedication Concert, and the Dance Theatre of Central Virginia in its Lynchburg Bicentennial performance have premiered her compositions.
